YD Exterior Visions started the way most great things do — with a lot of ambition and not much else.

In 2023, at 18 years old, Jonah Linfield loaded up his dad's Kia Soul with a set of gardening tools and started knocking on doors on Madison's west side. No fancy equipment, no big crew, no investors — just a work ethic and a genuine love for being outside and doing good work.

What started as Yard Dudes — a name that got the job done — grew quickly into something bigger. As the projects got larger and the clients more discerning, the brand evolved into YD Exterior Visions, reflecting a sharper focus on high-quality hardscaping, premium landscaping, and the kind of craftsmanship that turns a backyard into an outdoor living space.
